A very varied trip, not only because of the different states visited, but also thanks to an introduction to its history and culture with our guide Jose Esquivel, who is both passionate and fascinating. In Mexico City, the visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria de Guadalupe, located in a Marian sanctuary that stretches across an entire hill, is a source of intense emotion even for an atheist. Oaxaca and its craft market, agave cultivation, and the production of mezcal and tequila. San Cristobal de las Casas, a colorful and multicultural city, its market, the folkloric evening... and the Mexican cooking class with Irma and Gonzanilla... Of course, the Mayan sites of Palenque, Calakmul, and Chichen Itza, all very well explained by our guide Jose... It makes you want to learn more. Relaxation at the end of the trip with the seven-colored lagoon of Bacalar, the island of Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen.

A very beautiful tour that allows you to discover several facets of this great country. Of course, you have to cover quite a few kilometers, so the domestic flight from Mexico to Oaxaca is very welcome. The Chiapas region is truly incredible with its vegetation and villages where traditions are still very much alive. Yucatan is also a magnificent region. What a pleasure it is to swim, whether in a cenote or in a turquoise blue sea. I recommend taking the proposed extension to El Cuyo to finish in the authentic atmosphere of this small fishing village by the sea. A large and beautiful beach still forgotten by tourists. The excursion to Las Coloradas and Rio Lagartos is fantastic. You come back with your mind full of images and colors. One downside to this tour: a minibus that is not very comfortable for the large number of kilometers to cover. Too many "workshops" offered, each followed by a sales pitch.

This trip to Mexico was simply fantastic, from beginning to end. Many thanks to the Puraventura team for this excellent itinerary. It couldn't have been better! We also had the best tour guide one could wish for. Oskar has a vast knowledge, he is very calm and open-minded. No question from us was ever too much for him; on the contrary, he was very happy about our questions, as they confirmed our interest in his country. The hotel accommodations were well chosen and the breakfast was always very good, even when we had to leave the hotel early due to long travel times—there was a packed lunch provided. All in all, everything was great, keep up the good work.

We had a very enriching adventure throughout the journey: meeting wonderful people like Jurgen, who, surrounded by a motivated team, works passionately for the preservation of the ecosystem, ...Don Rodlofo, who welcomed us with a big smile to his organic Finca, ...Jean-Pierre, who gave us a masterful presentation of the history of cocoa (with a delicious tasting). We were amazed by so much beauty around the Lodges, the singing of birds, and the cries of howler monkeys at dawn. We are proud to have participated in the replanting of endemic trees at Selva Bananito and are still delighted to have fulfilled one of our dreams, which was to see sloths in the wild. We received excellent advice from Elodie (always very attentive) and were well guided by our guide Larry, going from discovery to discovery, such as the Arenal volcano, the Rio Celeste, the hanging bridges in the heart of the forest, the multitude of birds including the Quetzal in particular, ...it is difficult to list here everything we saw, so thank you to this generous nature. Not to forget our driver Coca, always in a very cheerful mood and constantly ensuring our safety along sometimes difficult roads. In conclusion: the fatigue was quickly forgotten, we are happy to have succeeded in our trip, of which the beautiful moments shared with the group will remain long in our memory. Thanks again to everyone.
